So.......SAMR

I think graphically, so the description of each of the letter acronyms made sense, but the info-graphic sealed the deal.  When I think about the different levels, I feel like I'm definitely on the R level in both my teaching and my life. 

 

Whether that's good or bad, I don't know, but that's the way it is.   

 

I like technology waaayyy too much.... like to stretch it, like to play with it, like to use it for new and different things that it maybe wasn't intended for.  Which definitely knocks out the Substitution and Augmentation.  That leaves Modification, which is probably where I was years and years ago.... but that's just not me.  So....Redefinition is definitely where it's at.

 

Why do I do it....?..... for the creativity.  There's nothing like conquering a piece of software or an app or a web presence and then molding it into something it wasn't intended to be.  It's weird, but I admit it, I'm geeky.

 

Taking it to the next level..... I feel like I do this automatically.  I just do it without thinking.  An example of it..... right now I'm working with Sr. Katy and Carol to make a multi-site video feed for the Enthronement mass.  Skype isn't wonderful.  A capture and throw feed costs too much, so I think Google Hangout Video Call is going to be the ticket.  But it's not made for this.  So...... it's going to have to be pushed and pulled.... wayyyyyy fun :-)

 

I struggle because technology doesn't keep up with my vision.... it should just KNOW what I want to do!!

 

And finally, a goal......  to keep stretching and pushing and pulling and making things do what they're not meant to do..... because that's what makes life interesting.
